It’s that special time again, it’s plogo O’clock. A rather special time on the Nine Rivers Distillery clock where you all get to Pick a logo. While the puns are fresh out of a compost bin, we hope the options are a tiny bit more engaging.
What’s This For?
Erm. It’s a potential logo for a thingy we might do. A barrel thingy.
On a slightly more serious note (and no doubt this will open up a million questions, which will be answered, when we have more time) it relates to the first major expansion to Nine Rivers Distillery. A cooperage. Where we plan to make oak barrels for maturing whisky.
It will be a separate entity to Nine Rivers Distillery (so that we can sell excess production to wine producers and to other distilleries in China) but Nine Rivers Distillery will some share in it. The other shareholders are currently pencilled in – we have some options that we will bring to conclusion at some point in the near future. It is likely that the other shareholders will include one or more other cooperages (who would bring in the skills and experience that we need) and it could include other distilleries and / or wine companies.
We have options and you can be assured that the board will choose the best option(s) for Nine Rivers Distillery. Our priority is to secure a competent supply chain of the best oak barrels we can procure and owning a share in a cooperage, crafting barrels within 50 meters of our distillery, is a logical solution to that need.

If you think all of the options are a bit cack and you think you’ve got a better alternative then here’s your chance to make a name for yourself.
Submit your bestest ideas by email please to i-do-logos-and-fings-i-do@nineriversdistillery.com – please submit your design as both a high resolution JPEG file (300 dpi, at least 1600 pixels wide) and as a vector based file.
Any SENSIBLE* submission will be put before the board for review and voted against. Please be aware that this is time critical and you would have to get your submission in before midnight on Sunday 28th August 2022, so it can be reviewed by the board on Monday 29th August 2022.
*sensible referring to the opposite of the nutcase that chewed up one of the Oak and Barley groups a few months ago with a barrage of crayoned nonsense screaming that his work should be used to rebrand Nine Rivers Distillery.
Lack Of Voting
If we don’t get a clear and distinct winner before the end of the day, we’ll open it up a tiny bit broader and involve those wonderful shiney happy people in the Friends of 9RD group. The ones that share our social media content in exchange for BOGOF deals on booze.
